Quality Craftsmanship & Materials
We make our garden kitchens and furniture from oak, because it is incredibly strong and has natural tannins which both protect it against fungi and act as a natural pesticide. Our oak furniture is traditionally made, with brass screws and butt hinges, hardwood dominos, mortice and tenon joints and stainless steel feet and fixings. We make all our drawers in a traditional side slide way – no modern runners to go rusty.
Oak needs no staining, bleaching or chemical preservatives to ready it for use. Any waste or off-cuts are biodegradable and are used for other purposes such as to make pegs or braces, animal bedding and slow burning fuel.
It is easy to take care of a Huckleberry garden kitchen – a simple wipe down is all that is required as the furniture ages, as oak is almost impermeable to liquid and air. Over time, the furniture will age gracefully to a natural silver-grey colour, like the gates of an English churchyard.

Delivery
We offer delivery and installation to mainland UK, or you can arrange your own collection. If you would like it shipped internationally then please contact us to discuss delivery rates. We organise safe shipping via our shipping agent.
Worktops
We use Dekton for our worktops, which is a very strong porcelain. It can be used outdoors as it is not affected by sunlight or frost and its colour remains true. It is also very resilient to high temperatures unlike other manmade worktops like quartz which can fade or crack in sunlight and heat when used outdoors.
